Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us
Edunivra Private Limited ("KalviYogi", "we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you when you use KalviYogi.
India is bringing the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 into force in stages. We apply provisions as they become legally effective, follow other applicable Indian law, and provide the privacy controls described below.
Information We Collect
We collect only information that is reasonably needed to operate the service, protect it, and measure learning with permission:
- Account and contact information: Name, email address, phone number, profile image, account settings, and verification status when provided.
- Learning activity: Lessons or episodes opened, genuinely played audio intervals, progress, completion, bookmarks, assessment attempts, and timestamps.
- Optional impact information: Separate participation consent, matched pre- and post-assessment results, and optional external exam verification information.
- Technical and security information: Device, browser, IP address, session, error, and limited anti-abuse signals needed for reliability, security, and fraud prevention.
- Audit records: Consent and withdrawal records, reviewer actions, evidence status, corrections, and timestamps needed to explain published statistics.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
How We Use Your Data
We use information only for clear purposes connected with KalviYogi:
- Provide accounts, audio learning, progress, assessments, support, and requested features.
- Personalize your learning experience and remember your settings.
- Protect accounts, investigate errors, prevent fake playback and duplicate events, and keep the platform secure.
- Prepare learning-impact statistics only from eligible activity under the rules described below.
- Meet legal duties and respond to valid legal requests.
Optional Learning Impact Measurement
Taking part in learning-impact measurement is optional. Where personal learning, assessment, or exam-verification data is needed for this purpose, we ask for a separate, clear, affirmative choice. Refusing or withdrawing this choice does not remove ordinary access to KalviYogi.
- A general account or analytics agreement does not by itself enrol you in optional impact measurement.
- You may withdraw from future impact processing through the available account control or by contacting us.
- Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid. We remove or de-identify related personal data when it is no longer needed, subject to legal, security, dispute, and audit needs.
- Only eligible, deduplicated activity is counted. Muted, skipped, impossible, repeated, automated, or otherwise invalid playback may be excluded.
Public Learning Impact Dashboard
The public dashboard contains read-only statistics for 7-day, 30-day, or 90-day reporting periods. It may show an eligible sample size, methodology, last-updated time, and correction history. A result is shown as Not Yet Measured when the sample is too small, the required data is incomplete, or a claim has not been verified.
We do not publish a learner's name, contact details, account identifier, pseudonymous identifier, individual marks, rank, uploaded evidence, or raw learning activity. Pending, rejected, disputed, and unverified claims are excluded from published outcome statistics.
Public figures describe an eligible group under the published method. They do not prove that KalviYogi caused an outcome and do not guarantee any learner's marks, rank, selection, admission, employment, or other result.
Optional External Exam Verification
External exam verification is optional. We request only the exam, year, outcome, official reference, and minimum evidence needed to check a claim. Evidence is available only to authorised reviewers and is never displayed on the public dashboard.
- Upload only your own genuine result, or a result you are legally authorised to submit for your child or ward.
- Do not upload Aadhaar, PAN, bank or health records, or unrelated documents. Before upload, cover or remove address, full date of birth, signature, QR code, document number, and other details that are not needed.
- We may compare the minimum submitted information with an official result source or issuing authority where this is available and permitted.
- Reviewer identity, decision, evidence status, time, and later corrections are recorded so a published aggregate can be audited without revealing the learner.
Who May Receive Information
We disclose information only when needed for the stated purpose: to authorised KalviYogi staff and reviewers; to service providers acting under our instructions; to an official exam source or authority for an optional verification; or where law requires disclosure. Service providers receive only the information needed for their role.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described here, the security of the service, a dispute or grievance, or a legal requirement. Our normal learning-impact schedule is:
- Pseudonymous learning events used to validate 7-, 30-, and 90-day reports are normally kept for no more than 120 days, then deleted or irreversibly de-identified.
- Unredacted exam evidence is normally deleted within 30 days after the verification decision and any review are final. A minimum redacted substantiation record, verification outcome, integrity reference, consent record, and correction history may be kept while the related claim is public and for up to one year afterward.
- Consent, withdrawal, security, and grievance records may be kept longer when reasonably needed to prove a choice, prevent abuse, resolve a complaint, or comply with law.
- Statistics that no longer identify a person, along with methodology versions and public correction history, may be kept for transparency.
A legal hold, active dispute, fraud investigation, or mandatory recordkeeping rule may require a longer period. We document the reason and delete or de-identify the information when that reason ends.
Data Protection
We use risk-based safeguards appropriate to the information and purpose. These include access controls, secure authentication and password hashing, separation of private records from public aggregates, limited reviewer access, logging, and backups where appropriate. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Cookies
We may use cookies for:
- Authentication: Keeping you logged in
- Preferences: Remembering your settings
- Analytics: Understanding platform usage
- Performance: Optimizing loading times
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if desired, though this may affect some functionality.
Your Rights
You may use the controls below, subject to applicable law and any information we must keep for a valid legal or security reason:
We may ask for enough information to confirm that a request concerns you or a child for whom you are the lawful parent or guardian. We will explain the outcome and any lawful reason that prevents full action.
Children's Privacy
For this policy, a child means a person under 18 years of age. A child may take part in optional impact measurement or external exam verification only after we obtain verifiable permission from a parent or lawful guardian. We do not publish child-identifiable activity, assessments, evidence, marks, or results.
We do not use a child's learning activity for targeted advertising or processing likely to cause harm. If required permission cannot be confirmed, the child's information is excluded from the related impact measurement. A parent or lawful guardian may contact us to review, correct, withdraw permission for, or request deletion of a child's information, subject to applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our service, safeguards, or applicable law changes. We will post a new literal revision date and give appropriate notice of material changes. When a change requires a new consent, we will ask separately before starting that new processing; continued use alone will not replace that choice.
Privacy Inquiries
For a privacy question, consent withdrawal, correction, deletion request, or grievance, contact us. Include only the information needed to identify your account and request; do not send exam evidence by ordinary email unless we ask you to use a secure method.
